About Me

I started specialising in IT early, getting a BTEC National Diploma in Computer Studies where I was part of the 'Goonhilly Cup' winning team, and graduating with a BSc Honours Degree in Computer Systems and Networks in 2000.

Since university I've worked in London, Bristol and Cornwall in a wide variety of roles and using a broad range of technology, but specialising in system integration and open source technology, and LAMP technology in particular.

I've been involved in open source and Perl in particular since I stumbled accross them in university, where I was treasurer of the computer society, and co-founded the Devon & Cornwall LUG.

Since university I've had articles published at O Reilly ONLAMP website, and organised Perl and Linux User Group meetings and talks in Devon and Cornwall, helped organise the London Perl Workshop in 2005, and written or maintained nearly 20 CPAN packages.
